Garage organization seems to be at the top of everyone's Honey-Do list, and, really, for good reason. How many of us have to park outside on the driveway because our garages are so full of things that aren't vehicles? Add that to the number of times you tripped over sports equipment, random tools, and a tricycle, and you've far exceeded the number of excuses you have to not clean out the garage.
It's time.Spring is the perfect time to talk garage organization, and it's one of the best gifts you can give us...or, ahem, your spouse. Mostly your spouse. Use this time to clear your garage of unnecessary clutter and host a garage sale. Take stock of your seasonal items, and sell or donate what you haven't used in the last year. Add shelves, cabinets, hooks, and overhead garage storage for the remaining items you can't live without. (Just remember, your spouse should definitely be included on top the list of things you can't live without, so if you're forced to whittle, choose wisely).
As far as your spouse is concerned, cleaning out the garage--and letting her park inside it--could be one of the most thoughtful things you've ever done for her, and one she'll appreciate every day.
