The truth is, our garages can get jammed packed with stuff. Things here and there accumulate over time, and we end up getting stuck on where to store and put things. Utlizing any open space is what we're shooting for in this blog. Shelving, espeically corner shelves can be one answer. Put them up high above your counter space or incorporate them into a countertop unit. Either way, they help eliminate that extra corner that sometimes never holds anything. Storage bins are another way to go. Place them up high or down low. Just be cautious that you don't overstuff these bins and they come falling down. Pay attention to putting heavy things low and lighter things high. Cabinets are a good way to keep things all tucked away, out of sight and out of mind. This is a good way to keep things cleaned and neat stored. Below are some easy examples of garage storage that help make your garage less cluttered, neat and organized.

Wood Garage Doors: Go Light or Go Dark?

on Nov 21, 2014 10:00:00 AM By | Overhead Door of Sioux City and Yankton | 0 Comments | Garage Door Design
Want to add or replace that old garage door with wooden one but don't know if you should go with a light or dark grain? Well, first off, here are a few pointers: Contrast can be good. Wooden garage doors typically go well with a stone, brick, or a stucco finished garage. If that material is light, try a darker grain. If the garage is a little bit darker, try a lighter grain garage door. Consider the upkeep. At Overhead Door of Sioux City and Yankton, we can offer wood doors in unfinished, paint-grade or stain-grade. Contact us if you're unsure which would fit you the best. Check out these examples to get a taste of what light and dark grain garage doors look like. You can also check out our collection of wood garage doors here.
